A SONG TO REMEMBER

NOBODY'S SONS

Born unknown when and where
bred by public charity
without father
without mother
without a name
we live in freedom like birds

Nobody's sons live in the forest
everyone disrespects us
because we are torn
but if someone take our command
nobody's sons can fight even in fasting

We live in woods and on peaks
and let ourselves guide only by eagles
once rejected the enemy out border
beautiful Italy we can free

Nobody's sons walk trough forest and mountain
one day we'll reject the enemy outside borders
and then can return to live free like birds.

Give the full comment - with a lot of tone "bold" - this on the YouTube page where I retrieved the singing accompanied by scenes of "Johnny the Partisan" by Guido Chiesa:

"The Sons of the rebels were none of the formations Genoese in the tumultuous period following the First World War it spontaneously aggregated into groups fighting for justice in opposition to the fascist violence proletarian actions to combat and self-defense.
Later, in July 1921, its members came together in the Arditi del Popolo, the only organization structurally capable of opposing the territory to the rampant terrorism squad, but the stupidity and ideological partisanship of the parties that then constituted the diverse face of 'democratic opposition will unfortunately thwarted the work of condemning the Italian people to the tragic decades in black shirt.
Supported and sustained in practice only by the libertarian movement, and in particular Uai (Italian Anarchist Union) that fed the base and the militant cadres, they paid the price with the defeat of political isolation in the field and its inevitable consequences until redemption with the Resistance and the Liberation final rematch.
The song originates in the roots of the folk tradition and they know many different variants of each other as regards both the text and the backing track. The syncretism of time has meant that there are military versions, alpine in the first place, or more purely folk. The one proposed here is only one choice among many, and that is the Battle Hymn of the Partisans of the mountains of the neighboring provinces of Piedmont and Liguria.
But what's really ironic is how even the fascists in their proverbial ignorance, have unfortunately included the song in their repertoire of "drafts" in an attempt to fill their immeasurable cultural vacuum. So it may still happen that some bold and ignorant illiterate teacups shaved head, without being in the least aware, a beautiful song of resistance, thus making the due tribute to the memory of the Partisans that with Their heroic sacrifice had the merit of imposing yield punishment and the hated oppressor.
Far from the idea of imparting lessons of history to anyone, least of all in the minds of the obsolete synapses in the brain, but it was really impossible to resist the temptation to illustrate with an elementary musical metaphor the falsity of the land on which is based the so-called historical revisionism and every false alibi tended to clear the right of ours.
Dedicated to the dreams of darkness of the poor deluded by a few wisps of brevilineo elf evil lest lull unnecessarily hurtful hopes of victory wherever you portiil your regurgitation of repressed hatred there will always be waiting Sons of Nobody to answer for. "
