"Between the '60s and the '70s - says the trailer - the Good Year, a multinational tire, opened a factory in Cisterna di Latina, a small town in southern Lazio. Seemed destined to bring prosperity and jobs for the whole community, which until then had lived on agriculture and handicrafts, but it proved a death factory. One of the many scattered throughout Italy. To date there are more than two hundred victims. These deaths, according to the committee of families of victims, are due to inhaled poisons in the factory during the production cycle of the tires. A number expected to increase further, given the long latency period of many forms of cancer and various cancers, not all recognized at the time of trial. Meanwhile, the carnage of laborers does not cease. A massacre silent and forgotten, in the background of two criminal trials, one of which just ended with the acquittal of all defendants except one. "Happy Good Year" tells all this in an attempt to shed light on a dark page and forgotten in our recent history. "Happy Good Year" was awarded to Riff-Rome Independent Film Festival 2014 as the best Italian documentary. The case of the multinational was also dedicated to the film by Riccardo Milani, "The place of the soul", 2003, Michele Placido and Silvio Orlando.
