mass extermination of children in Ireland and Canada

Today's story

A mass grave that may contain up to 800 bodies of children has been located near the former home run by a group of nuns in Tuam , Ireland North West, where they were hosted between 1925 and 1961 unmarried mothers and their children considered illegitimate .

According to the British Daily Mail , many of the children would have died of disease and malnutrition in total abandonment, and their bodies were thrown into a tank of cement. The site could now start digging after a relative of one of the children who were buried in the mass grave reported him as a missing person.

The authorities in Dublin could also open an ' inquiry into the matter while the Catholic Church discusses the construction of a memorial to the children buried . As it emerged from an ' inspection conducted in the center during the forties , the children were malnourished and emaciated . Approximately 300 deaths were recorded between 1943 and 1946 .

The history of yesterday

It all started in 1883 when John Macdonald, then Prime Minister and Minister of Indian Affairs , urged the government to create "three residential schools for Aboriginal children in the west of Canada." Two were entrusted to the Catholic Church , the third Anglicans . When the Minister of Public Works Hector Langevin introduced the Bill in the Parliament , he spoke explicitly: " In order to educate children properly we must separate them from their families . Some may argue that it is a difficult choice , but we must do if we want to civilize . "

The result was a massive search operation and capture the children, literally torn to parents, then locked up in these schools where a body of "social workers" prevented them from speaking the tribal languages or to have contact with relatives.

Those who tried to flee were hunted almost always found and brought back in chains , forced to run in front of the stumps principals . And once back in school was subject to corporal punishment as the chains at the ankles.

But even those who obeyed the teacher- jailers were ill-treated , suffering physical abuse and often sexual that could lead to death. Several thousand witnesses spoke of frequent deaths of children who were buried in the cemeteries school without informing the families. This continued until the 70s, when "schools for the civilization of the Aborigines ' were abolished .

There are , however, took another 36 years to bring the authorities to publish stories like this : " At Fort Alexander in the 50 younger children were sent by the priests to be subjected to the" menage " during which a priest washed their genitals ' . One of the victims , Ted Fontaine , recalls that " this practice ended only when we were now so big and strong that the determination to threaten, attack and even kill our tormentors , he gave us the power to refuse treatment ."

At present the findings of the report - the final version will be published in 2014 - was the judge Murray Sinclair , Chair of the Committee , stressing that such revelations " offer an opportunity for every citizen to make a contribution to national reconciliation ."

According to Rev. Kevin Annett , Secretary of the Tribunal for crimes of the Church and of the States, the Mohawk Institute was ,
"Founded by the Anglican Church of England in 1832 to imprison and destroy generations of Mohawk children . This was the first Indian boarding school in Canada and lasted until 1970 and, like in most residential schools ( for the Indians of Canada ed) , more than half of the children imprisoned there never returned . Many of them are buried around the school. "

The discovery of the mass graves of Mohawk children , confirmed by ground penetrating radar at the Mohawk Institute , comes on the heels of testimony filmed by eyewitness William Coombes , who in October of 1964 saw Elizabeth Windsor , Head of State Canada and head of the Church of England, visit an aboriginal school in Kamloops, British Columbia, choose 10 Aboriginal children , be kissed their feet and take them , presumably , out of school for a picnic at the lake.
The 10 aboriginal children were never seen again. Mr. Coombes , who was to testify at the Tribunal for Crimes of Church and States for child genocide by Elizabeth Windsor , was murdered in February 2011.
Fortunately, the evidence of Mr Coombes was videotaped before his death and is available to the Court .
Rev. Kevin Annett states that instruments of torture such as a rack for torturing the Mohawk children in ritual torture have been found at the now closed Mohawk Institute.
Rev. Annett made these revelations in an exclusive interview held on 7 October 2011 by Alfred Lambremont Webre .
In the interview, Rev. Annett acknowledges the close ties between the genocide of children of October 1964 , with the possible ritual killing of 10 aboriginal children by Elizabeth Windsor , Head of State of Canada and Head of the Church of England and genocide of children that occurred during the same period at the Mohawk Institute .
